Polish programmers 2nd in ICPC World Final
Polish team of students took a second place in the International Collegiate Programming Contest held in San Antonio in the US. A team from Cracow called the Jagiellonian Team was defeated only by the Saratov University team.
It was the 30th edition of the competition sponsored by IBM. The Poles were up against 5,600 teams from over 1,700 universities around the world.
"Polish programmers have been among the worlds' best for years, as was again confirmed by having taken second place. I believe that such international success will open up new opportunities for the winners to develop their professional careers" said Dariusz Fabiszewski, CEO of IBM's Polish branch.
