
2009
e-point SA continues its educational co-operation with universities and young developers. Company representatives deliver lectures at conferences, publish articles and share their knowledge during meetings at Polish universities. Another edition of the competition for the best master’s thesis is opened.
Four new countries join the Amway Online system. The AOL system – created and maintained by e-point SA – already serves all of the 1,000,000 users from 26 countries of Western and Eastern Europe.
At the same time, the co-operation with ING Group develops dynamically. A mortgage website of ING Bank is created, and a new version of the search application for bank offices and ATM machines is launched. The process of building new hosting architecture for ING Group websites is completed, the ING Bank ¦l±ski mobile website goes live.
ActiveForms, implemented in the AEGON insurance company, automates the management of fund acceptance forms and contracts with potential AEGON OFE clients. Work is launched on the new version of the Active Content platform.
At the end of 2009, e-point SA is awarded the first prize in the “effectiveness” category in the ranking of IT companies serving financial and public institutions – IT@ BANK. Apart from that, the company ranks 4th in the “development potential” category and 9th in the main ranking.
2008
The year 2008 begins with a successful tender for PricewaterhouseCoopers for the re-development of the taxonline.pl website.
In the same year e-point SA implements several other projects, including a corporate portal for AEGON, a new version of teh service support system for the client service department of Toshiba Medical Systems, an EU website for Bank BG¯, an online training system for Teva Polska and the website of Fundancja Sztuki Polskiej ING (Polish Arts Collection ING).
e-point SA starts working on Active Forms, a system for generating online forms.
Simultaneously, the Amway Online website is being expanded. Two modules are created: Master Copy (MCP), facilitating the process of content creation by the Amway team in a multinational and multilingual environment and Credit Card Payment (CCP), enabling users to make credit card payments.
In the “Marketing & More” magazine ranking the ING Bank ¦l±ski website, serviced by e-point SA, wins the title of the best Polish bank website.
The company begins co-operation with the “Java exPress” quarterly, aimed at Java language developers and enthusiasts.
2007
e-point SA develops international co-operation with global companies. The most recent implementation is the Ceresit brand website for Henkel Bautechnik Romania. The website was created on the basis of the newest version of CMS Active Content platform, equipped with new components especially for the needs of international implementations.
After 10 successful implementations of the e-commerce system in Central and Eastern Europe, Amway Europe decides to expand its co-operation with e-point SA to cover Western European countries.
In June 2007, the e-commerce platform prepared by e-point SA for Amway Europe receives first prize in the prestigious competition “Project Excellence Award Poland 2007” organized by International Project Management Association (IPMA).
The same year sees the launch of a new website for the Polish branch of the insurance giant AXA as well as the AEGON online school.
2006
In order to carry out e-marketing activities, e-point SA establishes an interactive agency under the already well-known brand Point of View. The agency’s activities include: conducting promotional campaigns on the Internet, creating branding websites, engaging in viral marketing and establishing on-line loyalty programmes.
As for e-point SA, the company continues its strategy aimed at creating dedicated Internet solutions based on its own programming environment. In 2006, the company launches a corporate portal for AEGON, extranet for Polfa Kutno, new websites for ING Nationale-Nederlanden and ING TFI, and a service support system for the client service department of Toshiba Medical Systems.
Simultaneously, the company implements e-commerce systems in individual Amway offices in Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland.
2005
Portals created by e-point SA – Bank BG¯ and ING Nationale-Nederlanden – receive first prizes in the “Home&Market” magazine ranking – in the category “Best bank website” and “Best pension fund company website”, respectively.
e-point SA wins an international tender for the creation of an e-commerce system for Amway Europe. The system, based on the OneWeb platform and IBM components, is to be one of the major solutions of this type in Europe.
It creates marked increase in the outsourcing potential of hosting services. Apart from Intel platforms, e-point SA introduces IBM p-Series.
2004
The new version of OneWeb – programming environment was released. It significantly sped up the process of building advanced web applications and increased e-point’s competitiveness on the market. OneWeb and Active Content became finally integrated, with Active Content being one of the modules of OneWeb.
Also a system for selling financial products via Internet for ING Bank Slaski was created and e-point gained new important clients, including Polkomtel (GSM operator) and Polpharma (leading Polish pharmaceutical company).
In 2004 e-point SA increased its profits by 89%, in comparison to the previous year.
2003
New innovative solutions were built including extranet for Nationwide sales agents, internet loyalty system for Coca-Cola and internet portal for BG¯ (one of the leading consumer banks in Poland). All solutions were based on e-point’s frameworks.
These projects allowed us to continue our own R&D program and led to the release of the new version of these frameworks.
2002
e-point SA carried on investing in the development of the company’s own frameworks: Active Content (for content management) and OneWeb (for transaction applications).
Using these frameworks, e-point created, among others, a “car configuration system” for Toyota Motor Poland.
2001
In 2001 e-point decided to choose IBM WebSphere, a leading platform for e-business solutions, as a standard platform for the company’s solutions. The result was the adjustment of Active Content and OneWeb to IBM WebSphere family products.
In December 2001, e-point SA was included in the Deloitte&Touche Technology Fast50 ranking as Poland’s fastest growing technological company.
2000
In order to implement the new strategy, the company needed a financial investor. The Enterprise Investors became one, taking up a minority portfolio in April 2000 and investing USD 1.2 M in the development of e-point SA.
In early 2000, the company made a vital decision to choose Java as the direction of further technological development of e-point SA. This same year brought Active Content and OneWeb - programming environments, which have served as the base for nearly all solutions ever since.
1999
Due to an increasing complexity of Internet projects, the company made the decision to transform the Point of View into an Internet software house and change its name into e-point SA.
1996
e-point SA was launched as the Point of View in 1996 when the Internet in Poland started to be used commercially. Very soon the Point of View became one of the leaders on the Web Design market.
